Silver: Jet Set Candy uses 925 solid sterling silver, composed of 92.5% pure silver and metals including zinc and copper. All our jewelry is nickel and lead free and is sourced from almost 100% recycled precious metals. Avoid exposure to household chemicals or when swimming in chlorinated water. Clean with a phosphate-free, mild detergent, by hand in warm water. Use a quality silver polish, avoid harsh chemicals. Electrolytic cleaning (aluminum foil, salt and baking soda in a water base) is not recommended. Between usage, place your jewelry back in its original pouch.
Gold: Jet Set Candy uses the superiority of gold vermeil over standard gold-plating as it is one of the thickest forms of plating. Gold vermeil (pronounced: vermay) is 2.5 microns of gold plating on a base of solid sterling silver. Avoid exposure to household bleach, chemicals and chlorine. Use a non-abrasive cleaner. Although gold vermeil has a solid sterling silver base, avoid using silver polish. Between usage, place your jewelry back in its original pouch.
